Sandra Eyston - Administration Assistant
What’s your background?
I have had a varied career that has prepared me well for managing the admin demands of the busy recruitment team ranging from working on site in Construction, in an NHS Psychiatric Unit, writing Health & Safety Manuals and being a traditional Secretary/PA. After taking a career break to raise my daughter I became a Special Needs PA for a child with Autism. I have the patience, understanding and capability to manage the tasks in hand tempered by broad shoulders, an iron will and pragmatism to get the job done well with minimum fuss and within the super human time frames the team have come to expect!
What does your day-to-day job involve?
Keeping the Recruitment Team ticking over; where would they be without the reliable, “you only have to ask” back office? Mainly I appear to effortlessly maintain an aura of total control whilst pedaling at 100mph under the desk to deliver the admin required be it CVs, contracts, invoices … and occasionally there’s time for making tea.
What’s your favourite part of the job?
I enjoy the variety of work … but really? There are dogs in the office. Daisy and Ruby (and occasionally Holly when she makes a guest appearance) definitely enhance the workplace.
What are your interests outside of work?
I was a keen belly dancer until my daughter’s embarrassment became too much, who knows whether in time I’ll return for now I enjoy reading, gardening, cooking and cake decorating.
If a film were made about your life tomorrow who would you cast to play you as

Who is your all time sports hero?
What is sport? Seriously I have no idea as I am not a follower of any sport.
What makes you smile?
My daughter, my partner and menagerie of pets.
What makes you cringe?
Apart from my daughter’s jokes, people who use “as” instead of has and “there” instead of their.

I like all types of food but my all-time favourite is sea food (but not squid or octopus – too many legs).
